This Bak Kut Teh outlet opened sometime last year. I passed by many times and only recently paid a visit.
There are 10 main dishes to choose from, each costing RM15.00 per serving (subject to SST with no service charge). Rice and sides are charged separately as add-ons.
The decor is quite nice.
I ordered the pork belly, shallot rice (small), yao mak and iced Chinese tea.
The shallot rice turned out to be just regular rice with a miserly topping of fried shallots.
The pork belly was thinly sliced and was tender enough. Then came the disappointment. The bak kut teh broth was rather flat, lacking the fragrant aroma of herbal mix. It was just watered down and not something that would make me return.
The yao mak was pretty standard while the tea had a strong earthy taste.
This lunch cost me RM24.00 and one visit is enough for me.
