30 Day Carnivore Challenge : Day #19

Subsi14
Today I spent 2.5 hours waiting for my meat delivery. I hate waiting for deliveries especially when the supplier is not so efficient.

Sanbanto is great because their delivery is always punctual. They are efficient in organizing their schedule. Deliveries between 10:00am and 11:00am usually show up as early as 9:30am or latest by 10:30am.

Feast Market unfortunately is not as organized. Today’s delivery which was supposed to come between 10:00am and 11:00am was delivered way past 11:00am. I am a stickler for punctuality and it matters to me.

Both suppliers use Lalamove where deliveries can be scheduled ahead of time. I believe Feast Market did not do so and had trouble securing a ride.

Anyhow. These are my meat haul.

From Sanbanto – minced pork, Korean style BBQ pork belly and pork burgers (not in the photo). The regular pork belly was from a previous order.

From Feast Market – minced beef, beef burger patties, ribeye and sirloin.

Yesterday, I did a bacon haul hah..hah..

SUbsi3

I can get bacon from Hank’s which is part of Jaya Grocer and located in its own shoplot next to Jaya Grocer at The Starling.

I looked at the label just to check if the bacon contains sugar (some do as part of the seasonings). It turned out pretty good and although it is unsmoked, it tastes just like the usual bacon that I usually eat.

So. heh..heh…

Subsi5

I also pan fried a piece of salmon and fried three (small) eggs.

As I was enjoying my lunch, the power supply in my house was cut off. Bah! So I texted my road rep to check if she had power and apparently she had but a few of our neighbors were also without power.

So this madam took charge and called Tenaga Nasional. Today being Friday, it took a while for the technicians to sort things out and power was restored just after 2:00pm.

As for dinner, it was pork chops. I love the pork chops from Sanbanto and I always put in a request for meat with more fat.

SUbsi11

I had another 3 pieces of bacon left and I fried them up. Then I pan fried the pork chops (using residual bacon fat) and sliced onions.

Subsi12

At the last moment I added a cube of butter and some soy sauce. I removed the pork chops from the pan and continued to saute the onions until caramelized.

Once everything was plated, I cut the bacon up into smaller pieces and sprinkled on top of the pork chops.

SUbsi13

What can I say? The pork chops were phenomenal! So so good! But I was not able to finish all of it due to my very substantial lunch. So there are leftovers for tomorrow!
